MANUAL LYMPH DRAINAGE SPECIALIST
(Vodder method)
For many years people came to my salon with problems that I felt were best tackled from within. I spent a long time finding the best solution to do so and finally discovered Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) in the 1990s. Since then, I have had increasing numbers of clients requesting this treatment.
MLD is an extremely gentle massage achieved through a rhythmic pumping action over the skin; using no oils, it stimulates movement of the lymph within the lymphatic vessels and helps to clear waste products and excess fluid from the body. As the lymph system is also part of the immune system, improved health and increased energy is one of the most important benefits of MLD massage.
Multi layer bandaging may also be applied for added effect to those suffering from lymphoedema for longer-lasting results.
The following are just a few of the conditions I have had experience with:
- Skin conditions including rosacea and allergic reactions.
- Healing of wounds, recent or old burns, scars, bruises, stretch marks, PMT, bloating, general stress, muscle problems, tension headaches
- Pregnancy, swollen ankles, pre and post caesarean
- Childhood ailments, sinusitis and ear problems
- Allergies, toxins, hay fever, puffy eyes, low immune system, feeling tired all the time
- IBS, intolerances
- Pre and post-operative, recent cosmetic surgery, Vaser Lipo
- Secondary and primary lymphoedema
